In almost all of the episodes he was barefoot at least once when he wasn't wearing something like roman sandals. Don't remember any close-ups though and many of the guys were barefoot a lot. Even the jealous slave warrior, I forget his name. I heard that the actor had some type of cancer and may not be in the second season of Spartacus.
