Hey guys ,hows it going ? I dont know if there are any other members out there who are into nerdy guys (and gals in my case) but I love nerds (barefoot) lol so I thought I would start a thread involving Nerdy Guys .

I would firstly like to request pics of Alex Charak , he is 22 years old and was an actor on the soap "As the world turns" and currently stars in an online sketch comedy by the title of Drcoolsex comedy (interesting name lol) . Among the plethora of characters he plays , his portrayal of Luigi from the popular video game series Mario , makes me really want to see his feet ( Im just weird XD ) . I would also like to request Ezra Koenig . He is the lead singer of Vampire Weekend , an alternative pop band and i have noticed he often wears loafers without socks , now if only he would take them off. Great music btw

Is it me, or do the 2 dark haired guys in the group of 4 look like they are flatties? I'd love to see them with their socks off to make sure. Flat feet are fun to tickle. You can trace where you think the guy's arch should be. Of course, you will be called a lot of names while you are doing it--several times until you get it right!! lol.

actually if u think about it the stereotype of a nerd has somewhat diminished . in the past they were stereotyped as being brainy individuals with oversized glasses , pocket calculators and suspenders . As time has progressed, that view has drastically altered , now its more or less about individuals into gaming and tecnhnology , movies etc . So I for one am proud to be a nerd :P

I agree with you Wyntersteel. I used to teach school in Montréal and the upper classmen and some of the lower classmen used this word mixed with our mother tongue of French. I never liked to place titles like this onto people I did not know. All of the photos are a big turn on to me and so are the people's faces. I love to see glasses on men. It makes them sexier when they do remove them. I find in many cases a blessing because I can not really get bored with the same look all of the time.....I hope I have expressed myself clearly.

Ben Silverman and Scott C Jones are from a show called Reviews On The Run where they review video games, tech gadgets and movies. I have been wanting to see Ben's feet for quite some time now but to no luck. There were a couple of episodes where he was in Hawaii but I dont recall if there were any decent shots. Here's Dictionary.com's definiton:

I would add to that the (presumed) trait of being socially awkward. Seems more apt than the idea of being unattractive, 'cuz I think guys who wear glasses can be very cute and endearing-looking. The non-social description used in the 2nd definition is, I believe, more likely to spring to mind than the word "ineffectual," but hey, that's from Dictionary.com.

Here's Webster's definition:

: an unstylish, unattractive, or socially inept person;
especially : one slavishly devoted to intellectual or academic pursuits <computer nerds>

if people have a problem with the title of the thread , please do suggest someother name so i can change it because , im tired of re-iterating the definition of being a "nerd" and apparenlty some members dont get it . This might be due to the fact that certain age groups have different perceptions of the word and this largely differs from how my age demographic (20's) precieves the term. Once again , a nerd may not be a person who is adept at technology , or be an intellectual with a high IQ . There are several subclasses of "nerds" , the hip hop nerd , the computer nerd , the fashion nerd (this species has an affinity towards dressing in nerd chic lol ) , the movie nerd , the music geek etc .

Yeah, it's very much reclaimed. I personally define it as someone who is slightly to pretty socially awkward (usually in an endearing way) and they have interests that look deeper into and may know a lot about things that may or may not be cool.

I don't feel that the term nerd these days is a bad thing anymore. As has been stated here earlier on this thread many guys proudly use the term to "describe" themselves in a good or even fun way. And yes, gay men have reclaimed the term "Queer" for quite some time now.

Another word that some guys use to describe themselves is Dork. I think since the popularity of many movies of the 80s where many times the "hero" of the movie was the "nerd" or "dork" was when the meaning of those terms took a turn very much in a positive light. In many of those movies they were the guys who " got the girl ".

When you take away the shock or insult value of a word you effectively defuse the bomb that other are trying to hurl at you. The added bonus of course is that it thoroughly pisses off the people who were trying to insult you.

It loses it's power in the negative way.

If these guys are "nerds" they are some cute "nerds" :D
