Vibram Five Fingers

What does everyone think of these shoes? I'm thinking of getting a pair myself for jogging.

If your second toe is longer than your big toe they just won't work . . . I've tried them and returned them. To be fair though, FiveFingers does alert you to that problem. And if you want to wear sox with them, socks with fingers will add to your expense.

I once had a lengthy conversation with a cute guy wearing Five Fingers at the airport. He eneded up taking them off to show me the nooks and crannies of his pair. So I was able to see his bare soles without asking. Bingo bonus: he was in the army before.

Morale: Next time you see a cute guy wearing it, start an innocent conversation with him about his Five Fingers. You never know ! :)

How do you like the FiveFingers, Wolf? I bought a pair of the Bikila style in September and love them. They're super comfortable to run in, and I even wear them anytime I'm not at work. They're a definite conversation starter, even with strangers. I want to get a pair of the black ones like you have soon.

A word of advice to anyone who starts running in FiveFingers or any other minimalist footwear: take it slow. I got overzealous and didn't give the muscles and bones in my feet time to adjust and ended up with a stress fracture, which put me out of running for several weeks. I had a guy lick my Vibrams today.

I was lying on my stomach on a bed with my black KSOs hanging over the edge. The other guy was licking up and down the soles (I could feel everything) before licking between the split toes and over the tops. My feet felt wet inside the Vibrams but it was so relaxing.


But yeah, Vibram FiveFingers are extremely comfortable. I'm going to start wearing mine out in public more. So far, I only wore them for jogging about 3 times (and stopped because it hurt, and now my feet get sore easily). Once I start jogging again, my feet will get tougher.

I bought a pair myself a couple of months ago and I love them!!! It's a good shoes for walking and water sports. I always get compliments. Although I won't use It for running. I have skinny and bony feet so il be sticking to my regular asics. I won't use it as well for prolong walking. I love wearing them after trail running and I need to rest and relax my feet. I don't wear socks when I wear them. The mesh fabric should help wick out moisture. So go ahead and enjoy yours.

Not my favorite type of shoe, but if a guy likes them thats cool too.

I'm buying a pair of Fila Skeletoes later today. The design is similar to the Vibrams, but it combines the two smaller toes at the end which makes it easier to put them on. The sole is also a little more cushioned which makes it suitable for everyday wear.

I wore my Vibrams to Walmart today and an employee working in the electronic department commented on my shoes. He said he had never seen anything like them and then asked to see the soles and when I twisted my leg up, he started touching and pressing parts of the sole to see how soft they are.



I was doing my best to hide my growing boner :D
