This video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wnv0DAR_gWA) shows a Moroccan craftsman carving a chess-piece (a king, I believe). The reason I post it here is that it's a remarkable example of a man who uses his bare feet almost like extra hands as he works.
Years and years ago, I was visiting an Indian friend, whose male uncle (a very young uncle) got down on the floor, barefoot, to show me how a particular food-preparation instrument from their part of India was used: I was fascinated that the instrument was really DESIGNED to be held in place by the bare foot: it was the only way to steady it properly for use.
It's a very interesting film: I think you'll find his dirty feet quite sexy by the time it's over, if you watch it all the way through.
