One of my Facebook friends posted this article for a laugh... It's a fundraiser for a film project about a pair of guys in 1990s England who collected thousands of socks by duping guys into donating them "for charity". These guys, called the Southport Sockmen, had a master-slave relationship centered around the collecting of the socks. The article has several links including a fundraising video and a link to the active Crowdfunder page that offers several different donation levels.. and ways to be involved in the movie! I figured this might be of interest to some of you, especially in the UK.
I'm sure people will be laughing about it all, but it seems like the filmmakers want to be sensitive to the people involved in the original situation. They seem pretty clear about saying there is nothing wrong with having a foot fetish but that these guys took things way too far. I hope they get funded, I'd like to see the movie! (I am not connected with this project in any way.)
Btw has anyone even heard of the Southport Sockmen?
