How many people know about your foot fetish?

I was just wondering how many people are aware of your foot fetish? I used to be very secretive about it when I was younger, I wouldn't even tell sexual partners about it, I'd just lick their feet as part of sex, and apart from two guys, they all loved having their feet played with. As I've got older I have realised how big a part of my life my fetish is, and like coming out as gay, I've felt the need to share this important part of my life with my closest (gay male) friends, and they have been wonderful and really accepting, and it usually turns out that they have their own kinks and preferences.

So how many people know about your fetish? Did you 'come out' to them? I'm just curious to hear about other peoples' experiences.

The only people who know are my partner and people I meet on Craigslist for foot fun. None of my friends or family know.

Why tell anyone?

The ones you want to know about it will figure it out, soon enough. (I expect that grabbing their ankle and shoving their toes into your mouth should be a huge hint.)

The rest of the population honestly doesn't care; and most don't want to know the intimate details of your sexuality, or anyone else's.

I find no reason to "come out" about anything that's an integral part of one's being. Can you imagine the conversation?

A few of my friends know just from drunken convos about our sex lives. And my best straight friend knows since he let me rub his feet a few times in college haha. Apart from that its not something I feel like bringing up randomly.

All my closest gay friends know about it - mainly because I met them via the foot "community" as it were......and they are like minded people!

I suspect my parents knew something was going on (God rest their souls as neither are around anymore), simply because my whole fetish started around my Dad's feet - I used to play with them, his socks and his work boots as an infant, and my Mum thought it was er....strange to say the least as my Dad had intensely smelly feet which were the bane of her life. Little did she know that this fetish defined the rest of my life. When I still lived at home and started buying socks and sneakers all the time, I was 27 at the time and out of the blue she said out of the blue one day: "do you know you have 40 pairs of socks?? - I think you have a sock fetish!" That's actually a sweet story, sweathound. I've never been into smelly/sweaty feet, but I appreciate the genesis of your anecdote. I was fascinated by my father's feet growing up - they were big, muscular, a little rough but healthy and always smooth dry soles. I used to wait until he fell asleep (he was always the first to bed) and I would play with them for a while. One of my earliest memories is him putting his barefeet up for me to rub them for him. The request, the presentation, the "reaching out" aspect of the whole scenario still plays a huge part in my fetish today. It had nothing to do with humiliation or domination - it was actually a great bonding moment between father and son. To this day, I look for guys who want to share their feet as part of the bonding process between two consenting adults ... worship/domination/master & slave never played into it for me. Those tropes that are so overplayed in online pornography always kind of "ruined" the sexual aspect of feet for me.

I was always pretty "open" about my appreciation for feet ... family and friends joked, but I actually didn't care. I got away with it because of my personality, I guess. I always found the more honest you are about yourself, the more you attracted people of the same ilk. And I have always seemed to attract people with foot fetishes - either for others or for their own. And it's best to be honest about it - as long as you don't treat it as a shameful embarrassing secret and are comfortable about it, others will be too. If someone can't get it, I just don't see the point of proceeding with them sexually. I mean, feet to me are like a penis is to most men. I need feet to be part of the package - pun intended.

Totally with you there. I've never been into the hard, nasty domination thing. For me foot play is almost a spiritual thing, an act of enjoying a part of someone's body and the pleasure they get from either offering their feet, or the sensation of their feet being loved by someone else. Yes I find it intensely sexually arousing - I always have - and like you I treat it as a part of me, its the real deal as far as I'm concerned and I wear it on my sleeve.

As you say, a lot of foot stories get ruined because some people just have to get "normal" sex into it somehow, whether it be sucking, fucking or whatever.....I do love reading the son-father ones, but when it turns into incest I find it totally abhorrent....I guess that's because I project my own experiences with my father onto and although I had an intense sexual attraction to his feet, I never was into "him".
