What exactly was the whole premise behind this photo shoot and how did you go about asking these guys to participate?

The project was centred around the themes of masculinity, body image and body language. The feet-centred shots came about out of experimenting with focus/perspective and also based on the idea that the hands and feet can be independently expressive parts of the body.

The models were a mixture of friends, guys I was "intimate" with and just random guys who answered an advert around campus for models.

Each model answered standardised questions about themselves and their body in particular before the shoots, with some very interesting results - out of the 20 guys that took part only 2 didn't want to take their shirt off (shame, as they were both hot) but many of them complained about having to be barefoot (common worries were having smelly feet and a general perception of having "Hobbit feet", lol).

Yeah the first guy was my favourite as well, although he did have by far the smelliest feet, lol. A lot of other people said they thought the guy in the Hendrix shirt had the best-looking feet.

He was 18/19 when we took the photos and he had flat feet, size 11 (UK) I think. I don't think its likely that we'll be doing any more photography together though.

Yeah I touched most of their feet at one time or another but I can't say I remember any of them seeming to be overly sensitive in that regard.

On one day you didn't even have to be that close to smell them but yeah, the extreme close-ups were quite a challenge in that regard, lol!

I do intend to explore the "erotic" side of things a bit more in upcoming photoshoots but I think its unlikely that we'll be going down the bondage route, sorry.
