Just for the record....

The only one who "ruined" it was the author, himself. I did not ban him, violating my own "zero tolerance for bullshit" rule, but warned him that he needed to watch his mouth if he wished to remain a member.

I suggested off the record that he perhaps create a new user name and lie low for awhile, until such time as he felt he could be civil in discussion. He may have done just that, and may answer you in private messaging.

The one who ruined it was the other guy.... That's how I saw it unfold and you can ban me for saying so, but you are totally wrong in this case.
Your opinion is noted... and is being cheerfully dismissed as irrelevant to maintaining the integrity of these boards.
