Don't any of you guys actually raise beef cattle or dairy cattle? Apparently not. Well, let me tell you something. The tongue of a mature cow is very rough and if a cow licks a man's foot sole, within two or three 'swipes' of that tongue across a man's bare foot the skin of his foot would begin to literally be ripped from his foot. Cow's tongues may be thought of as remarkably similar to very coarse sandpaper and would have an effect on soft human foot skin like very coarse sandpaper being vigorously rubbed on the sole of a foot. Ouch!!!!

Sounds like the ancient Roman torture method "goat lick"

They would take a prisoner and soak his feet in salt water for awhile. Then they would place the prisoner in stocks and have a goat lick his feet. At first, it would be very ticklish, but goats have rough tongues and eventually it would start licking away the skin and even flesh from the feet.
